STATON STRIDES FOR SUCCESS
We are very excited to announce that in January 2020 we will be hosting our own Staton Fun Run rather than going with APEX. We made this decision as APEX received 49% of funds in the previous years. Making this change will allow Staton to keep 100% of the funds. We have decided to call our inaugural run "Staton Strides for Success" and hope to continue this tradition for many years. Our goal is to use the monies raised for the following:
Updating desktop computers in pods
Chrome books for kindergarten through 2nd grade classrooms
Continue to be able to provide a certified technology teacher
Ensure small classes in the next school year
Staton Strives for Success will kick off January 21, 2020 and the official obstacle course/run will take place on January 31st. To be able to provide all of the incentives and t-shirts for every student, we are looking for sponsors from our community (families and businesses). We are asking for your help with this! If you are able to help, know someone that can help or would be willing to ask our community to be a sponsor we would be so grateful. These sponsorships will get special recognition. A letter can be found HERE along with the sponsor form HERE. We would be so appreciative of your help in securing sponsors for our event and for our school.
ATTENDANCE BIKES - STARTING IN JANUARY!
This is a celebration to recognize students with perfect attendance, including no tardies or early check outs. Students who have perfect attendance for 2 consecutive months can participate. Click HERE to see additional information regarding winning a bike or scooter.
Don't forget to order your yearbook for $30 until January 10th. After that date, they wil be $35. Orders can be placed online through our Staton Webstore.
Lovelines for the Staton yearbook can be ordered online through the Staton Webstore for $5.00.
DONATE GENTLY USED CLOTHING
As we prepare for cooler weather, our health office is asking for donations of girls and boys pants/leggings as well as long sleeve shirts. So if your child has grown out of their winter clothes from last year, we would be happy to accept that used clothing! Girls pants are needed more than anything. Thank you!
LOST AND FOUND
As the weather begins to cool, more and more jackets are being left behind. Please have your child check the blue, lost and found bin in the lunch room during their lunch/recess for missing items. Additionally, please remember to write your child's name inside these items so they can be more easily returned. Many students have the new Staton sweatshirt, so this will help us keep them all straight. Thank you!
