Parents Communications

School Communication

Staton Elementary Administrators and Staton Elementary PTO will be using ONE communication tool and that will be Parentlink. This will automatically connect to the email and phone number that was given to Staton when you enrolled.  Each week, on Saturday, we will send out a text or email that will give you the upcoming schedule of events at Staton for the week. Our goal is to streamline all communication to this one weekly email/text. Flyers and a monthly calendar will still continue to come home. If you have not received this communication, please contact the office to update any information.

We do have some additional ways that you can stay up to date with what is going on at Staton. Please join our Staton Elementary Facebook or Instagram pages. We highly recommend that you "like" or join one or both of these pages as we highlight all the great things happening at Staton!

Some of the individual teachers may being using a communication tool such as Remind or ClassDojo for your child's individual classroom. Please join those to keep up to date on your child's classroom.

Educational Resources

Should Your Child Be Reading in Kindergarten or First Grade? When Do Students Start Learning Multiplication?

Many parents inquire about "when" their child should be reaching certain educational benchmarks or what the standards are for our school district. The answers to those questions and many more can be found in this document: Core Standards.

We encourage you to print a copy of the pages that pertain to your child(ren) and discuss any questions you may have with your teacher(s).
