As we wrap up this final week of the 2020 - 2021 school year, there are no words to express the gratitude, love, and kindness that you have all shown to me over the past four years as I served as principal of Staton Elementary. These 4 years were a chapter in my book of life that will live with me as one of my most cherished chapters. As I move onto create my next chapter, please know that I will be here to support all of your kids and the community in a different way!
Please be sure you stop by and see me out front of school on Wednesday or at chromebook drop off for a final big hug!!
Your kids will forever be in my heart! #alwaysapioneer
With immense gratitude and love,
Progress Reports/Unsats & MAPS Scores
Available and up to date as of 05/31/2021
In alignment with full-time distance education, parents/guardians will access student progress reports and report cards through Campus Parent by clicking on the Documents Tab on the Index Menu. As parents/guardians have immediate access to grades through Campus Parent, schools will no longer print and distribute progress reports and the District will no longer print and mail report cards home.
Bring your books on break! The Clark County School District (CCSD) encourages students to continue building their reading skills over the summer months. Students should read throughout the day, all summer long, at least 30 minutes a day. Students can read books, magazines, comic books … any reading counts!
Check out how you can participate at the following link: https://ccsd.net/district/ccsd-reads/

Update Your Child's Health Information for the 2020-2021 School Year!
Below you will find a link to provide us with updated health information for your student. Please click on the link and complete the form as directed. If you have already completed this survey THIS school year for your student, please disregard. This information is confidential and will only be shared with those working directly with your student on a need to know basis. We are asking parents of all new students (newly enrolled in CCSD, Pre-K, Kindergarten), along with those whose students have had any changes to their health, to complete the survey. It is very important that we have current information for your student's health on file. If you need to contact the school nurse for any reason, she can be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can leave her a voicemail and she will return your call at (702) 799-6720 x 4020. Thank you!

Lighthouse of the Week
"She runs as if she is the Energizer Bunny, will make time for anyone at any time, and will never expect you to do something that she would not do herself. She is well known for organizational skills and motivation to ‘get things done’. Her light shines brightly, but is even more bright when interacting with our students. There is nothing she would not do for the sake of a child’s well-being. With much personal reflection and professional guidance, she is relocating to higher ground. She will be in a place that will allow her light to shine even farther. You are leaving Staton a much better place, and we look forward to your light continuing to shine on us from higher ground."
